Our recent Gospel Music Hymn Sing Spring Tour was amazing! We enjoyed the blessing of some of the greatest crowds we’ve had yet, plus the bonus of getting to hear those wonderful people SING TOGETHER!
If you’ve never joined us at a Gospel Music Hymn Sing, we’ll be posting the dates and places for our Fall Tour soon! We would LOVE for you to join us for a wonderful time of worship and celebration!
The heart behind any charitable organization stems from a personal experience that takes root deep inside, then grows into a passionate pursuit to help others. The leaders behind the Gospel Music Hymn Sing recently experienced this with the passing of Gerald Wolfe’s father, Mack Wolfe. Now, the Hymn Sing has set one goal for 2018 – to take the Hymn Sing DVD series to every Skilled-Nursing Care facility in the United States. Currently, Operation Sing Again is in the fundraising phase. First, we have to have the funds on hand to manufacture almost 47,000 DVDs, since there are three DVDs to be distributed to each of the facilities. It’s much less expensive to have all the DVDs manufactured at the same time, rather than to order them in small batches. With The Lord’s help, we’re on our way to completing Phase One before the end of this Summer. After we have the DVDs manufactured, we will move to Phase Two… Purchasing the shipping materials needed for the Operation. Phase three will be the packaging and shipping of the DVDs. A College-age Sunday School Class from Bible Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Kentucky has volunteered to take on the task of packaging and labeling the DVDs for shipping, as a Missions Project for their class. Rodney Griffin’s daughter, Reagan, will be leading that team. The project is quite an undertaking, but we believe, with The Lord’s help, we’ll be able to raise the money needed to complete the task. If a person can help by donating a DVD set to one facility with a $30 – $40 contribution, it makes it easier to realize it can be done. We want to give these precious people… who often feel useless and forgotten… the opportunity to be taken back to a time when they had strong bodies and voices, and were able to sing along with their family or Church congregation. We want to give them the opportunity to sing again!
